Fr. Holland Catholic School and St. Joseph’s Church have contracted with FACTS Management for tuition collections for students in kindergarten through grade eight for the 2012-2013 school year. Parents/Guardians are given three options:
- full payment of tuition made to Fr. Holland Catholic School by August 1, 2012
- ten automatic monthly payments through FACTS Payment Plan beginning August 1, 2012
- eleven automatic monthly payments through FACTS Payment Plan beginning August 1, 2012
- twelve automatic monthly payments though FACTS Payment Plan beginning July 1, 2012
Through FACTS Management’s direct debit program, parents/guardians will authorize automatic bank payments directly from their bank account on the 5th or 20th for their monthly tuition bill. Neither FACTS nor Fr. Holland Catholic School will have direct access to or any knowledge about the status of the bank accounts used for tuition payments. It is simply a pre-authorized bank-to-bank transfer of funds.
A late fee will be assessed after the second collection attempt. If no payment is received by the third attempt, your child’s continued enrollment may be in jeopardy. Special circumstances should be brought to the attention of the principal.
Tuition for grades K – 8 based on a 10 month schedule is $470 / month. Tuition for 4yr old PreK is $324 / month for 3 day program or $470.00 / month for 5 day program, . Tuition for 3 yr olds is $158.40 / month. This is inclusive of all fees and is paid directly to Fr. Holland. If tuition is paid upfront, 3yr old preschool can take a $45 discount, 3 day 4yr olds can take a $75 discount and full time students can take a $150 discount.
Scholarships & Tuition Assistance
All families are requested to apply for financial aid through the FACTS Management Program administered by the Diocese of Providence. Parish subsidies are available at the discretion of the individual pastors. Fr. Holland Catholic School also provides financial aid and scholarships from a variety of fundraising activities. Notification of these awards will be made at the earliest possible date. Anyone needing financial aid should contact the principal or pastor. All requests will be kept in strict confidentiality.
Parish Assistance
Several years ago, Bishop Louis Gelineau mandated that every parish must spend at least 7% of its gross annual income on tuition assistance to families with children in Catholic schools.
Some parishes have a set formula they follow in determining assistance, while others base their decisions on financial need and other mitigating circumstances. Many parishes require involvement in parish activities, financial support and regular Mass attendance of those families who desire financial aid. As each parish operates their subsidy program differently, we encourage parents to speak with their pastor about the criteria in their parish.
